Sonic the Hedgehog's new game releasing in 2017?
Today in Japan, Sega held a 25th anniversary party for Sonic where they revealed that a "New Sonic Project" will release sometime in 2017. This could be the next mainline sonic game that Sonic Team has been teasing with us for some time now.
Seeing How the NX comes out in 2017 it's possible that the newest entry could come to the System. Of course Sega has another Sonic event on July 22nd where we'll definitely hear more about this project!
