Ubisoft's CEO talks about the relationship between Nintendo & Ubisoft

Ubisoft is known to support all platforms during launch and it's lifetime. Unfortunately the wasn't the case with the Nintendo Wii U.

During an interview with GameInformer he was asked on their success and lessons learned from the Wii U :

“We could see it wasn’t selling as fast as expected, so we reorganized around other platforms. With the Wii U, we were able to relaunch Rayman 2D. It was a good thing for the company and the brand and its fans. If you remember, it was supposed to be Wii U exclusive, but we made it multi-platform when we saw it wasn’t selling fast enough. The Wii U has done quite well. It’s still a Nintendo machine with lots of great franchises, and we’ve sold lots of copies of Just Dance on it.”

Of course Nintendo is releasing the Nintendo NX ealry next year and at this years E3,Ubisoft has already announced support for NX by announcing Just Dance 2017 for the system. We're unsure if Just Dance 2017 will be a launch title or not but he did have this to say about the NX's launch:

“You can expect we’ll support Nintendo. Nintendo is one of the best partners in the world.”
