Rumor: New MegaMan game based on new cartoon
The Blue Bomber made a comeback in a big way in 2014's Super Smash Bros. It's no secret that Capcom felt the sudden interest in MegaMan from old and new players to make a new game. Of course last year they announced that MegaMan will come back with new games and a new show!
Now many people where worried that MegaMan might fall victim to being "boomed" similar to Sonic Boom and that the games won't be good or it'll be aimed at younger players.
Well it seems that thanks to a new rumor it might be true. The rumor states that all though it will be a 2D based platformer like the originals but it will borrow elements from the the new animated tv show. The rumor also states that the villains wont have the "Man" moniker but instead will be based on musical names.Something the originals did with likes of Tango and Beat and ProtoMan's Japanese name "Blues" and of course MegaMan and Roll's puns in Japanese were "Rock & Roll". Some villain names include :
-Flare Symphony
-Frostbite Sonata
-Saber Waltz
of course is isn't the first time MegaMan's villains we're based on something. The StarForce series had enemies based on constellations like Gemini Spark or Taurus Fire.
All though this all a rumor at the moment it does seem likely that the new MegaMan game will be based on it's new tv show counterpart.
