Amiibo support may come to smartphones
IGN sat down with Shigeru Miyamoto(after the Apple Keynote on Wednesday)and asked him if he's interested in bringing amiibo support to iPhone thanks to it's NFC compatibility.
“There's nothing we can announce today but It’s certainly an area we’re interested in,” Miyamoto said, “and today Apple announced some new news about their NFC technology.”
Of course we don't know what games will support it if amiibo support does come to mobile devices but we're sure Super Mario Run or the upcoming Animal Crossing & Fire Emblem apps will put them to good use!
