Nintendo officially discontinues the Wii U in Japan
Nintendo has officially discontinued production on the Wii U in Japan. There are only 2 bundles in Japan at the moment but on the Wii U hardware's webpage there is a message that reads:
近日生産終了予定 (kinjitsu seisan shuuryou yotei) which means that “Production is scheduled to end soon.” After that, the announcement reads “within Japan” (日本国内 or Nihon kokunai)
Despite Nintendo denying these rumors about a week ago it seems that the Wii U is indeed coming to an end as they are looking toward the future with the Nintendo Switch.
