Nvidia: Nintendo Switch similar to PS4/X1,porting games should be easy
According to Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang the architecture of the Tegra chip powering the Switch is very similar to what’s inside of PS4/Xbox One and even PCs. Thanks to this,it should make it easier for developers to make one game and quickly work onto the next platform. It even makes it easy to port games from Xbox One and PS4 onto the Nintendo Switch. Huang also mentions that they all use common architectures and modern GPUs that share similar features.
Although processors will come in diffrent designs and capabilities they still all use a common architectural language which will allow game developers to target a large install base with one common code base.
