Rumor: Nintendo Switch to receive power boost from it's dock

Time for another Switch rumor as Laura Kate Dale has provided us with more Switch details. This time she has revealed that the Nintendo Switch will in fact receive a power boost from the dock and not by any additional processing from the dock. The system will connect to the dock via USB-C and will help the system run better to get that 1080p resolution on TV.

When the system is docked it will activate a secondary fan that will help it cool as it runs higher clock speeds. Speaking of the dock,it turns out that the dock is very lightweight and that Nintendo plans to sell individual docks sometime after launch for households with multiple TVs.

Not only does she reveal details about Nintendo Switch's Dock, but she apparently knows details of the upcoming January 13th event.

The Switch units that will be present at the event will be near retail level in terms of power. Each unit will be locked to one game demo but press members are free to take the system(undocked) and play and or relax on sofas. When they are done they can return the Switch to any demo unit and not the one they started on.
