Splatoon 2 teases the return of splatfests and the Squid Sisters

Update: It seems Nintendo has made a backstory to Final Splatfest and what happened between the Squid Sisters!

Splatoon's official Twitter has tweeted some pictures with captions that hint at splatfests and the squid sisters. The tweets talk about the last splatfest between Callie and Marie and how many squids remember the splatfests that occurred in the first game and they feel the presence of the Squid Sisters cheering them on even tho time has passed by.

Hopefully this is a tease that Splatfests will be returning to Splatoon 2 but it looks we have toi wait a little longer for some more information.
